control and seamless EV integration.

Overview

At AAA Electrical & Solar, we recommend Sigenergy for homeowners who want a high-tech, future-ready solar and battery system.

Since entering the Australian market in 2024, Sigenergy has quickly positioned itself as a strong competitor to premium brands, offering advanced features, sleek design, and one of the best app experiences available today.

About Sigenergy

Sigenergy was founded by Tony Xu, former president of Huawei’s solar division, and has rapidly grown into a global energy technology company.

In Australia, they’ve quickly gained traction, being recognised as one of the fastest-growing battery brands in the market. Their focus on innovation, smart integration, and user experience makes them a popular choice for modern homes.

Technology & System Design

Sigenergy systems are built as a complete energy ecosystem, combining inverters, batteries, EV charging, and smart software into one integrated platform. Key features include:

Industry-Leading App (mySigen)

AI-powered monitoring and control, often compared to Tesla’s app for its usability and real-time insights.

Fast & Modular Installation

Stackable system design allows for quicker installs and easier future upgrades.

V2X (Vehicle-to-Home) Ready

Designed to support future EV integration, allowing your electric vehicle to power your home.

High Durability

With an IP66 rating, Sigenergy systems are well-suited for Australian outdoor conditions.

Important Update: 2025 Recall & Resolution

Sigenergy experienced a major product recall in late 2025 involving certain single-phase inverters.

What happened:
Some 8kW, 10kW, and 12kW units had AC connectors that could overheat if not installed correctly.

What was done:
Sigenergy launched a full replacement program, upgrading affected units with a more robust connection design

Current status:

  • Updated models sold in 2026 include the improved design and are fully compliant with Australian standards.
  • Affected customers received an additional 2-year warranty extension (total 12 years), reinforcing long-term support.
  • From our perspective, the issue has been addressed, but it highlights the importance of working with experienced installers.
